Bio Name: Marietta Edgecombe Age: 18 House: ex-Ravenclaw Occupation: student of history and intern History of Magic Status: unmarried Has: two Russian blue cats, Aphrodite and Dolores Biography: Marietta is the daughter of pureblooded parents, of which her mother works at the ministry. She is an only child and rather spoiled. She has just graduated from Hogwarts and is coming back as the teaching assistant of professor Binns in teaching History of Magic. She likes being taught and teaching herself. Marietta is a very clever, independent and ambitious ex-Ravenclaw. She likes to do things on her own and be alone and is therefore often misunderstood as someone who is either unfriendly or unwilling. The indicident with the DA was an example of that. She was forced into the whole thing by Cho and in the end, she felt no loyalty whatsoever towards its members. Marietta needs an obvious cause to fight for – something that’s really matters to her personally. She may be characterised as selfish, but she is not at all devoid of any symphaty whatsoever. It is just very important to her that what she does and feels is sincere – she won’t do something that she doesn’t really believe in. She is a closet Slytherclaw. Most important to her are her intellectual abilities and what she can achieve with them. That’s why she wanted to become a teacher at Hogwarts, to make other children see and learn how much learning can do for them – if they want to. Marietta has stayed in touch with a few of her good friends (Ravenclaws don’t have cliques) of which Cho is one. She also knows some of the 7th year housemates she left behind when she graduated. Marietta is not outgoing, but can be so if she wants to. She has no past or present lovers and suffers from a minor older-man fetish, upon which she not acts (she dreams and plots).
